When a member then clicks on YOUR website, you get another registered hit. The strength in this venue is that members of an exchange actually 'sees' your site for a brief period of time. They will not be able to watch a movie or sign up however, so if they want to do that, the member will need to open the site in a new window.
The downside to manual surf is you really don't get enough hits to count in the search engines. For high quantities of hits, use Auto Surf sites.
Auto surf traffic exchanges:
These are fantastic internet advertising specialties and venues for sending hits or traffic to your websites. Traffic helps boost search engine ranking. Like the manual surf sites, each time a site loads into the surf window, a hit is registered to the site which the engines count. Unlike Manual surf sites, no clicking is required - the script does that for you automatically. When it comes to HITS, nothing beats a well surfed auto surf exchange. There are some downsides to this marketing venue:
Members of auto surf exchanges surf to send hits to their websites, not to view sites:
Members tend to surf several venues at once, that way getting maximum benefits from many traffic exchanges. They are looking for numbers of hits to their websites, not viewers. They themselves surf, but do not stayed glued to the surf window...they wander off, multi-task and etc. It is rather like turning your tv or radio on for backround noise or company. They may, or may not, be paying full attention. As in watching TV in bed, they may even fall asleep while surfing! All this is fine as what everyone is looking for in these venues are HITS to the websites. For views, people viewing your site, use a manual traffic exchange.
Auto surf exchanges are geared for fast loading pages without audio or video:
Because most auto surf sites are on fast timers - 10 seconds and under, sites heavy with graphics, audio and video do not do well on these venues as they load too slowly. Many auto surf sites do not allow audio or video as well. For these venues, you want to use splash pages, and then splash pages which are fast to load, light on images and without self launching audio or video. You point your SPLASH PAGE to your workdigital sign up page and your movie. Now, two things start to happen:
1. You start building your presence in the Search Engines!
You have a page that can run on Auto Surf sites. When viewers are interested, they simply take the site to a new window and go from there. They click on your link to go to your Movie Website, the rest flows from that point. This is an example of that type of Splash Page.
2. You start building your presence in the Search Engines!
Millions of people do a search on some engine - like Google for example - everyday. You want to be found in that search. Most engines will not index your affiliate link. There are a few exceptions to that rule, but for the most part, your sign up page or movie link will not be found in the engines and no amount of marketing will change that. Once you get your own domain hosted somewhere and start adding pages and content to those pages, the engines will find you, index you, and then you can push your sites up with your marketing.
