Work Digital E commerce marketing article:
Squeeze pages and online marketing. Promote your workdigital e business with a squeeze page.
BUILDING AND OPTIMIZING A SQUEEZE PAGE.
A squeeze page is vital if you want to build your own list with your affiliate marketing efforts. A spueeze page is also often called a splash page, or a marketing page. The main difference between a squeeze page and a simple splash page is that a squeeze page usually contains a bit more content than the splash page, although sometimes their is little distiction between the two types of websites. Most squeeze pages you build for yourself and host them on your own domain.

The need for your own Squeeze Page:
If you just keep promoting the affiliate link that you get when you join an affiliate program than you will be boosting the program owners list. This will apply to each and every affiliate program you join and promote. So if you join 20 programs you will be promoting the lists of 20 program owners. Plus, promoting straight affiliate links in the search engines is sometimes something of a lost cause. Search Engines tend to discriminate against affiliate sites.
STOP!
BUILD YOUR OWN LIST.
Build a sqeeze page for each product. Put a signup box on the squeeze page and when they have signed up to your list then foward them onto the sales page of the item you are promoting.
You will not need to have a seperate list for each squeeze page, although, I would recommend you only group together lists for very similar products.
When it comes to designing a squeeze page it needs to be colorful without being garish, make effective use of headlines and bullet points, but do not make it too large. If you intend putting your squeeze page on traffic exchanges you need to consider how long it takes to load, and then how long it takes the potential customer to read it.
There are exchanges around these days with a 5 second timer, so if your page does not load immediately and then get straight to the point, your potential customer is not going to be able to click on it and fill in your signup box.
You can keep the loading speed to a minimum by not overloading the page with graphics.
When building your page do not put any other advertising or hyperlinks on it as your potential customer may just click on a link that takes them away from your page or website. Any links on the squeeze page should go to your signup box and then onto the website you are promoting.
Your squeeze page will be made more trustworthy if you include your name and a photograph. The more credible you are the more success you will receive.
The use of metatags will improve your page rating lifting you higher up the search engines.
