A type of traffic exchange where a member must click on something to move the surf from site to site. FFA stands for Free For All. These ad boards started in the late 1990's as an evolution of Guest Sites. Today, people post their links free. Pro members can then send their text ads to those who posted to the boards email address, making this aspect of the FFA site an email marketing venue.
Safelists are venues in which the members send their ads to other members' email boxes. Legitimate safelists are double opt in - meaning members joined and agreed to receive email to send email and then verified or validated their email with the list. Safelists are probably one of the most well known, popular and well used form of can-spam compliant venues on the internet.
